As a relatively high percentage of Muslims regularly practice their religious duties, including prayers, there are always needs to design, build, and maintain mosques in various parts of the world. (Mozart, 2003, p. 2). Mozart (2003, p. 2) claimed that most of mosque design references, however, focus solely on the design of the praying space of the mosque. They typically ignore the supporting spaces for the mosque. These supporting spaces can be required, such as the toilets and ablution spaces or optional such as a room for body washing for the dead, a library, or a classroom. Within the category of required spaces, toilet design is very much standard and the requirements are well- known to most designers. On the other hand, the ablution spaces are much more challenging in their design because they are needed for a function that many designers may not be familiar with. As an expected result of such a design environment, there are some well-designed ablution spaces, but there are many more badly designed ones. The bad designs not only cause discomfort in using the space, but can also constitute a safety hazard (Hilliards et al. , 1999). Before defining the possible relationships between the praying area and the ablution area, it is important in designing the circulation and access to mosques and praying areas to define what is design-wise known as the clean zone. This definition aims at keeping the praying space free of organic traces, bad smells, and other things that either render the praying space unsuitable for the function or annoy those who are praying or sitting in the praying space. It is important in the design to visually define a line after which people should not be putting on their shoes as these shoes might carry traces of road dirt. (Mozart, 2003, p. 5). Users who are not in ablution state can still go inside the clean zone. No religious rule prevents that. As users who perform ablution need as well to take off their shoes so they can wash their feet, the relationship between the defined clean zone and ablution area is important for designers to consider. (Mozart, 2003, p. ) The relationship between the access to the ablution space and the access to the praying space is very important in defining the comfort and safety level for ablution space users. Conceptually, the access to the ablution space can be either from outside or from inside the clean zone. The access from inside the clean zone can be either directly from the praying area or through a corridor or other types of links. Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice continues to receive criticism because of the many controversial topics integrated within an already debatable plot. One such reproach is whether the play demonstrates factors of anti-Semitism or persists as a criticism of the anti-Sematic tendencies of Christians during Shakespeare’s time. The factor of genre plays an essential role in how the play is interpreted when regarding anti-Semitism, particularly when viewed as either a romantic comedy or a genre that better encompasses the financial, moral, and religious conflict that is so prominent throughout the play. For instance, when analyzed as a comedy, Shylock’s malevolence may not exactly be reviewed as comical, but nevertheless seems peculiar and outrageous at times. From a religious standpoint, however, the vehement interactions between Shylock and Antonio are clearly centered on revenge and appear much more violent than a comedic standpoint may suggest. Hemingway's modernist style of storytelling requires an impersonal narrator. The narrator describes the scene, and interjects small actions into the dialogue, but remains a facilitator for the reader to concentrate on the dialogue and the action of the story. The narrator in this story seems to tell the story as if it were a video clip, a nameless railway station somewhere between Barcelona and Madrid, ghostly white hills, a faceless waitress and an anonymous couple.The use of this narrator makes the reader look much deeper into the dialogue of the couple, because without the narrator spelling out the action for the reader, one is forced to interpret much more from the character's words. This modernist device tends to separate the reader momentarily from the text, so that the full impact of the story is not truly felt until one is finished reading. However, this device serves to make the story connect on a deeper level, and to have more impact as it hits one suddenly, instead of bein g built into a slow climax.From almost the beginning of his writing career, Hemingway employed a distinctive style which drew comment from many critics. Hemingway does not give way to lengthy geographical and psychological description. His style has been said to lack substance because he avoids direct statements and descriptions of emotion. Basically his style is simple, direct and somewhat plain. He developed a forceful prose style characterized by simple sentences and few adverbs or adjectives.He wrote concise, vivid dialogue and exact description of places and things. Critic Harry Levin pointed out the weakness of syntax and diction in Hemingway's writing, but was quick to praise his ability to convey action The majority of his early novels were narrated in the first person and enclosed within a single point of view, however, when Hemingway wrote For Whom the Bell Tolls, he used several different narrative techniques.He employed the use of internal monologues (where the reader is in the â€Å"mind† of a particular character), objective descriptions, rapid shifts of point of view, and in general a looser structure than in his earlier works. Nyala was in another. Quinn had put them both to sleep. Quinn and Rashel were in the cockpit. â€Å"Do you think any of the vampires got out?† Rashel said softly. â€Å"I don't know. Probably.† His voice was as quiet as hers. He was filthy, covered with sand and soot, burned here and there, and wildly disheveled. He had never looked more beautiful to Rashel. â€Å"You saved Nyala,† she whispered. â€Å"And I know you did it for me.† He looked at her and some of the tense focus went out of his eyes. The hardness in his face softened. Rashel took his hand. She didn't know how to say the rest of what she meant. That she knew he had changed, that he was changing every minute. I would not be his death.  She says here that the person who shes loved is hers forever and she cannot be his death and that is she tells someone then he will be executed. Also she says that she will stick with him and:I believe, if I knew that I was to die by his hand at last   Nancy has a feeling that something terrible is going to happen:  but I have such a fear and dread upon me to-night that I can hardly stand. She then talks about her premonition of her own death which build up tension also suspense:  Horrible thoughts of death, and shrouds with blood upon them, and a fear that has made me burn as if I was on fire, have been upon me all day. I was reading a book to-night, to wile the time away, and the same things came into the print Ill swear I saw coffin written in every page of the book in large black letters. Nancy has read a book and someone is murdered init, Victorians like horror stories and so Dickens puts this in that Nancy also read a horror story, words coffin keeps coming up which is a premonition of her death. She refuses to go with them because of Sikes and she states that eventually she will end up dying. Rose wishes to give something to Nancy. Rose offers her purse and Nancy refuses money. She then takes the handkerchief and this is the one which Nancy uses to tell Sikes to stop murdering her in Fatal Consequences. Nancy is a victim of poverty because to survive she had to become a child prostitute, this is why the audience feels sorry for Nancy because all her money is taken by Sikes and he spends it on drinking. Sikes is the Victorian villain in this novel and he is a very violent and emotionless man. There was a huge difference between rich and poor and Dickens wanted readers to feel and also learn that there should be no difference because we are all human beings, this is what J.B. Priestley did when he wrote An Inspector calls. Fatal Consequences is a melodramatic scene. Fagin tells Sikes not to be too violent. You wont be-too-violent, Bill?Here Dickens uses dashes for emphasis and also the main word which tells the audience about Bill is Violent These is a adjective and it builds up tension. Fagin wants Bill to hurt Nancy but not to kill her because of the consequences they will face. Both Fagin and Sikes are furious and wants to hurt Nancy we find this out here:  .fire in the eyes of both,  This is imagery which has an great impact on the audience. It tells us they are consumed with rage. Fagin then says to Sikes:  not too violent for safety. Be crafty, Bill, and not too bold. He is saying to Sikes to be careful, clear and crafty. Sikes does not reply which make him sinister. Sikes dashed out into the silent streets. The word dashed shows Sikes anger and that he went quickly. This is a very emphatic word. Silent streets has a use of alliteration.   Without one pause, or moments consideration: without once turning his head to the right or left, or raising his eyes to the sky, or lowering them to the ground, but looking straight before him with savage resolution: his teeth so tightly compressed that the strained jaw seemed starting through his skin: the robber held on his headlong course, not muttered a word, nor relaxed a muscle.
